Love seeing everyone picking Denver. Just the way I like it.

One thing I've learned is you never bet against Brady and BB, especially in the postseason.

142 yards

267 yards

234 yards

Those are the last 3 rushing totals for the Patriots (which is also when the started feeding the beast)....Nope, no reason to think they won't have success on the ground.

While I know Pats fans will be trying to play the us against world mentality, no person is going to be shocked to see the Pats get the best of Manning.

Unless I'm reading this wrong, the Patriots have not played a road playoff game since 2006.

That game? Their loss in the AFC Championship to Indianapolis.... led by Peyton Manning.

Interesting Stat...Manning is 6-12 vs Patriots All-Time in the regular season...but did anyone realize that 8 of those 12 losses were AT New England...Manning has played @NE 6 of the last 9 games against them going 4-5 in those games. In the playoffs Manning is 1-2 against NE winning 1 at home and losing two on the road.

Guessing Manning is happy to have a HOME game against them.

Since both teams always won their divisions they have always gone up against one another. For a span there it seemed like the Colts went to Foxboro every season. I have never understood how the NFL determines which team goes where for the divisional winners.

Marketing.

Correct. However, the Pats have lost at home to the Ravens a couple times and Jets. 2 of those being first round exits.

I can remember the one playoff game up in Foxboro where the weather was horrible and Bruschi stripped the ball from Manning. I can't recall the other playoff game. These games have been more about what the defense has done to Manning, not necessarily what Brady has done in victory.

I don't get it either. I believe I've seen that the Broncos will go to Foxboro again next year.

Apparently it was the season before in the conference championship game. Indianapolis Colts at New England Patriots - January 18th, 2004 - Pro-Football-Reference.com

For the most part, whomever's team has been considered better or favored has won most of these encounters. I would say the regular season game this year was an exception to that rule and it went to OT and ended when a punt went off the Denver punt returner, effectively ending the game.

I agree. Manning had always been outdone by the defense and also he had trouble with the weather. At that time Manning played more so in a dome.

Now being with the Broncos for two seasons I believe that he will have a better handle on it and may not make those same mistakes.

That being said anything can happen and next weekend should provide a great game and may be the last time these two players play against each other.

Just checked and you are correct. Next season the AFC East plays the AFC West, so I guess that slot could have already been predetermined, because they flip-flop home/away every 3 seasons with the cross divisional foes... I assumed they do at least. Maybe they don't?

Which is incredible when you think about it. We have been going for over a decade comparing and contrasting these two careers. I may like Manning a little more, but I can still appreciate the greatness of both and the rivalry. Both are still the two best QBs in football, IMO. And it is not even close.

Taking Manning and the Broncos. I don't think the Patriots have the defense to contain the Broncos offense in Denver. I'll say Denver 31 New England 24.
