While Walter and I see things different on some things, we are civil enough to "agree to disagree". However, the effort he puts into his 9th Region Notebook is 2nd to none and is always a very good read.

 

LB13 wanting to "agree to disagree" is just his way of backing out of a debate when he knows I'm right. :lol2:

Agree with LB13 while we agree to disagree (Walter and I) the work is outstanding and I appreciate the time involed in putting his thread together week after week.

 

Walter, even if you had put CovCath #2 behind NCC, I wouldn't be upset, as I honestly am glad that this year we (meaning the Ninth Region) has 4 quality teams that can play with anyone in Kentucky and come out the winners!

 

Unlike some other areas in the Commonwealth we in the Ninth root on our teams when they get to Bowling Green for Football, Rupp for Basketball, or Lexington for Baseball and any other KHSAA championship game. We will fight tooth and nail during the season and throughout the District and Regional play but once one of ours gets to the State Tourney, you will always see us in the Ninth root our Champion on.

I think Cov Cath has earned the 1 spot by beating Holmes by 10 and having a 5 point margin at half vs. NCC.

They are still undefeated versus NCC's 3 losses.

Newcath has played a tougher schedule that's why they have 3 losses. 3 top ten teams in state and all 3 they were winning by more then ten points. I still think Newcath is #1 that game last Friday doesn't prove nothing until they both play again on a floor that wasn't so bad as Covcath was. IMO

Newport lost to Campbell Co by 2 and Brossart by 9.

 

The Nicholas Co game, they sat a couple guys because of their effort.

 

Newport is better than you realize. Have you seen them play? And how has Ludlow outperformed them?

Unfortunately for us, we won't have a head to head match up to go off of, but those three results above prove otherwise that Ludlow has outperformed Newport.

 

 

Good info. Not sure how I missed the Brossart and Campbell scores. Thus, I will roll with Newport at 10.

As close as I follow Holmes, I had no clue he had put up those kind of shooting numbers the past two games. Kid has put in a lot of work to improve his game. I know at the beginning of the season everyone, myself included, said that was his biggest weakness (outside shooting). If he can continue to hit outside shots like that, Holmes will be even tougher to beat come post season time.
