Mustangs win the Henry County Invitational Tournament by defeating the homestanding 9-1 Henry County Wildcats.

While we won't hang a banner for this particular accomplishment, playing four games in three days will certainly benefit us as we continue through the season.

We got good minutes tonight from Austin Shannon who scored 10 off the bench, as the two Mustangs bigs, Trentman (17) and Burns (6) battled foul trouble. Jake Jennings was sensational at point guard the entire tournament, with two double-figure performances including 13 tonight.

The Mustangs improve to 12-1 on the season, and will now focus our attentions on preparing for next Friday night's Crosstown Classic battle with rival Campbell County.

Nice "team"tourney win for the Mustangs. Stars shinned when they needed to, the quiet kids, who never make the papers, did an outstanding job. Role players got it done and the bench stepped up big time.

Brossart did a really good job of handling Henry's pressure. Henry did a good job of attacking the big men for Brossart and getting them in foul trouble. 11 for Brossart played a ton of minutes and kept his team under control. It was a good game by two very disciplined teams. Congrats to the Mustangs.
