Scott 73 Holy Cross 47

Featured Replies

Final from Taylor Mill.

Ben Osborne leads the Eagles to victory with a great showing tonight. He had 23 pts. As well as grabbing 13 boards. An absolute beast in the paint tonight. Scott's Jeremy Jackson had to sit this one out unfortunately, I believe due to a sprained ankle.

Holy Cross was very undisciplined, I believe Tyler Bezold was give 2 warnings and Leighton Schrand was given a technical after he received 2 warnings. I expect big things to come out of HC here in a few years though. I see tons of potential in every single one of there players.

Interesting paragraph.....

I got to see Scott guard Matt Johnson who probably is 5'11" go up and dunk a ball tonight. He may be one of the most athletic kids I have seen walk through Scott since Keylo Jones.

Warnings? How did they warn them?

Does HC have ANY size?

HC had no size, Bezold was there only "true" big.

Warnings? How did they warn them?

They confronted both players and I believe during a timeout addressed the issue with the head coach.

Some refs are very nice and hate to have to issue a T. However, issuing a warning and then issuing another warning just says to the kid "do what you want." Nail the kid as soon as he gets cross with you after you've talked to him.

Note: Wasn't at the game. Not speaking to the sitch with any specific player or coach. Just speaking on the theory of "warnings." Nip it.

They don't want to deal with the paper work they have to fill out if they do call one.

Are you confusing paperwork involved in filing an ejection???

Am not aware that paperwork is involved in issuing a technical foul.

Yes, sorry about the confusion. It was the only reason I could think about why refs are so hesitant to "T" a player or coach up.

No paperwork for a T.

None! Their philosophy seems to be jack up as many 3's as possible and hope for the best due to their lack of bigs. HC has some really nice players who can stroke the 3. Seibert (?) can really fill it up from behind the arc.

Osborne was unstoppable in the paint and Andrew Trame had a very nice game as well.

Sounds like HC is having locker room issues already. Little sooner than I thought but knew they were coming.
