Purple, without Elam, we have little chance. With him, teams have to double team him most plays as one blocker cannot handle him. This allows our other lineman and linebackers to play downfield, pin their ears back, and rush the QB. I don't see this happening as much now. I think Hayes will have too much time back there and he will pick us apart. I could be wrong, but Elam's presence alone allows us to do some things most teams could not do. We will see. I am hoping the kids rally around the situation and it motivates them, but who knows.
