Heading into the playoffs this looks about right to me!!!

How are thoughts on Male? I still think they're the best in 6A, but with the loss to Manual and the 6 point win against CAL, has their perception taken a little bit of a hit?

I think their perception has taken a hit, but I think that most other teams in that district's perceptions has as well. Right now, I might consider Male the best, but I consider St. Xavier the most dangerous.

 

With Trinity's loss to Moeller and the comments that some of their faithful, whose opinions I really respect, has led me to devalue their stock more than any of the Louisville teams.

 

Manual has a loss to Trinity when Trinity was playing better than they appear to be now and a loss to St. Xavier before St. Xavier really appeared to have firmly turned the corner.

 

That kind of leaves Male at the top by default, although I think St. Xavier has some qualities that make them attractive as well, namely that they seem to be re-invigorated by their coaching shake-ups and are now closer to being back at full strength.

 

CAL, DeSales, and Central are all quality teams in my book. This year, it appears that the depth of the Louisville area schools is in an "up" year of their cycle. We could easily see CAL/DeSales win 2A, Central win 3A, and any of the 4 6A teams win their class' championships.

Heading into the playoffs this looks about right to me!!!

I understand that. It's difficult to rank all the teams because outside the first 4 or 5 it's really not a lot of difference for the next 15 teams. Truly. No sweat. It's all for discussion.
