Series History: Tied 1-1

Series at Russellville: Russellville leads 1-0

The home team has won each game in the series, with Russellville taking the 26-14 decision in South Warren's first year as a program two years ago. The Spartans followed that up with a 20-0 shutout last year.

After the first game against Warren East, this was considered the greatest barrier to an unbeaten year for the Spartans. The Daviess County eliminated that, but a win here for South Warren would match last year's total of nine wins, currently the high water mark for the program, and would make it an extreme likelihood they'd gain their first double digit win season next week in the playoffs.

South Warren 14-7.

How much better are both teams since last season's South Warren shutout?

I know Rsl'ville was pretty young last year and have most of there skill guys back, so, I think they're considerably better. Not sure about SWarren. I really thought they were going to be a big player for a 3a title this year, but, that loss to Daviess Co was kind of a head scratcher and there schedule has been pretty weak, but, they dd beat a decent WEast and Monroe Co teams, rather handily and there defense has to be good to have only allowed like 1 TD all year, no matter who you play, especially considering most of your games were blowouts, you'd figure the JV unit would occasionally give up a few points. I'm leaning to SWarren because of that D and the fact that the Panthers are kind of a one-dimentional running team, which is easier to stop than a balanced attack, but, it wouldn't be a shock if Rsl'ville pulled it out.

South Warren by a wider margin than last year.
