SEC Tourney

Looks like we are in! Not leaving until Thursday night, but we will be there Friday-Sunday!

We are leaving Tuesday, going part way down and then on to Atlanta on Wednesday. Dop you have your tickets yet? We don't.

Last time I went to the sec tournament in Atlanta we survived two tornadoes. Crazy stuff.

I didn't go that year, but my aunt and uncle did. Had to come home and didn't get to see a game.

I think you're safe. If memory serves it's the same weekend as the girls state tourney.

Yes it is. Been going to State Tourney for 45+ years and sure didn't want to miss it this year.

Wow, I can't afford that on teachers retirement

Splitting our room 4 ways, also the gas so this helps. Only vacation I go on, so I have saved for this. Main reason I am going is to take my 86 year old mom. She is in poor health and this will be her last trip. Can't put a price on the memories we will make.

Some info I found interesting for those of us going :

SEC Tournament Games

  • The Eastern Team Fan sections run between 124 - 135 on the Lower Level, and 333 - 347 on the Upper Level. The Western Team's Fan sections run between 107 - 136 on the Lower Level, and 310 - 348 on the Upper Level. All other sections are considered neutral.

Seating Made Simple™

Hottest Seats - Floor Seats, sections 104 - 107 and 124 - 127, and Lower Level sections 124 - 127. Floor seats are the absolute best seats in the house. Don't be surprised if you find yourself sitting next to celebrities or sports figures. Lower Level sections 124 - 127 are just as good, and a little less expensive as well. If money is not an issue, then this is the way to catch a game.

Great Seats - Floor seats, sections 103, 108, 123, 128, 118 - 123 and 130 - 133; Lower Level sections 121 - 123 and 128 - 130; and Club/Mezzanine Level sections 227 - 242. A little less expensive, these seats offer great views of the game nonetheless. Where to sit depends on your preference. Floor seats in the corners of the court and behind the baskets keep you close to the court and give you all of the free throw and slam dunk action. If you want to sit in between the baskets, sections 233 - 236 put you there and still give you a view of the whole court. Lower and Mezzanine Level corner sections are good as well, giving you a slightly elevated view so you can see down the length of the court.

Good Seats - Lower Level sections 115 - 120 and 131 - 136, and Club/Mezzanine Level sections 221 - 226 and 243 - 248. The middle ground between price and quality, these seats still keep you close to the game while offering a lower price tag. Here you have a great view of free throws and slam dunks, and you are still somewhat close to the court.

Economy Seats - Upper Level sections. For those on a tight budget, these are the tickets to have. It is ideal to sit in between the baskets, sections 333 - 336.
