That must make it nice. I pushmow and when I take my time and do a nice job it sets me back a minimum of 90 minutes.

 

Mine's usually about 75-80 minutes start to finish, not including trimming. It's not that hard, but it's being able to shoehorn it into my odd work schedule that's problematic.

 

And I want to smack those people who take some weird, perverse pleasure in mowing lawns. Never understood that behavior. When I was younger, I would do whatever I could to avoid having to mow the lawn at the folks' place, including "accidentally" taking out patches of flowers or my main enemy — Mom's rhubarb patch — on occasion so as to draw a frustrated "Oh, I'll just do it myself" from Mom.

 

Important note: While I have a big stripe of laziness in me when it comes to manual labor, my aversion to mowing has more to do with my allergy troubles than anything.

A really good belch makes my day after that beer from Getslow.

Not sure how many will agree, but I've always really liked mowing the grass.

 

I've done a enough mowing of lawns for three people, don't miss it at all.

Well...getting something "shined", just not sure it would be my shoes.

I'd argue that one of life's great joys when it comes to daily life of being a man is getting a really good shoe shine. Who's with me?

 

I'm not talking about things like being a father or husband . I'm talking the little things in life.

I would 1st need to own a pair of shoes that were capable of being shined.
