I think games are this Saturday (maybe Friday) and Sunday. Brossart should be #1 seed (district record), with Campbell and Scott 2 & 3. Assuming they play each other, and BB plays the winner of the play-in game between Calvary and Silver Grove?

Is Scott even in this tournament with them being in the semi-finals of the 9th region JV tourny on Monday night?

Wow--Multiple regions? When do they play in the 8th region tourney? Kevin's good!! :D

With so many of our teams competing in various regions while still being located in Northern Kentucky I would really like to see us get away from the Regions issue (much like we do the district issue) and accept each other for being "Northern Kentucky" - i.e., Campbell, Kenton, and Boone and stop putting silly regional labels on everything. We all compete in the NKAC anyway.

The regions are assigned by the KHSAA. We have nothing to do with it. What was once a strong Northern Kentucky contingency of schools/teams can still be a strong contingency of Northern Kentucky schools/teams if we will look past the regional labels.

That being said, Brossart will host the 37th District Tournament this weekend with Scott playing Campbell County at 1:30pm on Saturday with Brossart playing Silver Grove at 3pm (according to seed).

The championship game is at 4:00pm on Sunday - plenty of time for Kevin and the Eagles to fulfill their Monday night obligation in the NoKy JV Tournament.

Why would you want your freshmen competing in a district/regional tourney against kids they more than likely won't see in the postseason the rest of their high school careers?

Key word - Competing.

Why do we schedule Lexington Catholic, LaSalle, McNicholas, or even some of the AAAA's in Northern Kentucky - competition.

Secondly, CovCath, and Jack Kaelin in particular, has done a masterful job of producing the top freshmen tournament anywhere. Were it not conflicting with the 37th District/10th Region Tournament we would be thrilled to have our freshmen play in it. Again, were it not conflicting with the 37th District/10th Region Tournament schedule it could be easy enough done by scheduling it as an independent, one and out tournament on your schedule.

Campbell gets by Scott in the first game by 5-6, and Brossart cruises by Silver Grove in the 2nd game. Finals tomorrow at 4:00 PM!!

Go Camels!

JV Camels trying to match their freshman counterparts with a district title. GOOOO CAMELS !!!!

Good luck to both teams, but I'll be pulling for the Mustangs to repeat!!

Bishop Brossart has won four consecutive JV district titles. The last time they didn't win the the JV district title was in 2002 when Pendleton County beat Campbell County in the finals. Pendleton County, who had Mason O'Hara, Joey Verax, Tyler Mains and Keaton Belcher in their lineup, beat Bishop Brossart in the first round that year.

Congrats to the Mustangs on the 4-peat!
