This senior class from CCHS won the regional tournament as freshmen, didn't they?

And is this two straight for MCHS?

Same two teams, two years in a row I believe!! Congrats to both teams and best of luck carrying on to the JV and Varsity levels--The future looks bright for both programs!!

Add Middleton to the Mason freshmen mix and Darius Miller one flight up and where is the Ohmygod smilie???

I was also impressed with the play of freshman Ryan Hamm with the JVs Tuesday night at Brossart - does he play with the freshmen team???

This group had a great coach in Rodney Tolle when they were in 8th grade. He also coached the group of sophs. He did a great job getting them ready for the next level. He used to beat our Fleming bunch pretty bad. This should be another feather in his cap. Great job boys and Coach Tolle.

Yes Mustang the Hammer plays Freshman ball as well as Jermey Thompson and Keith Downing.J/v has had a great year also .

So Mason won the freshmen regional without Middleton? Maybe Rose Hill could have taken some notes from the Royals? ;)

Brian Littleton should get most of the credit. He coached this group of kids since the 4th grade at the AAU level. As 11 yr olds they were state runnerup and have played in 3 National tourneys in Florida. Coach Tolle didn't have to hard of a task of coaching these young men in the 7th and 8th grade. Especially when the conference they played in was very weak, all they had to do was show up.

I don't think Pure Shooter is all they have to do is show up. They are a good group but I think the soph group with Miller is alot better than the freshman group with Middleton. No matter how good you may think these kids are they are never good enough to just show up and win.

I meant when they were 7th and 8th graders. Nobody said anything about which class is better.

One of the keys to this team has always been team ball. They are very cohesive and play well as a team.

They still have to play the games their not good enough to just walk into the gym and win a ballgame.
