Trinity always significantly better after a bye week.

Cathedral comes into the game with a 2-3 record on the season. They are currently ranked #2 in Class 5a according to the Coaches poll. In the Sagarin ratings, they are currently ranked #10 in the state, but, the 9 teams ahead of them were all 6a teams. There 2 wins have come against 2 4a teams, Indy Bishop Chatard, 37-35 and S.Bend St Josephs 50-40. Chatard was the #3 ranked 4a team in the state, while St Joe's was ranked at #5. There losses have come against 6a #7 Ben Davis 26-20, 6a #3 Warren Central, 42-28 and Cinci St X 15-6.

All this really tells you is that while there record isn't the greatest, they certainly don't shy away from playing good competition, much like Trinity.

Most of us here knows just how good Cinci St X is, moreso than the In schools, and a 9 point loss to them should give you a pretty good idea of what type competition T will be facing.

Trinity 28-20.

Home field advantage, I'll take T in a close one.

I believe playing at home will help this group of Shamrocks. They played their best game versus Ensworth on opening night at Marshall Stadium. If they give a similar effort, the Irish could be in for a long night. This is the usual time of the season when Coach Beatty has the Rocks step up their play. I look for a much more aggressive defense. The offense should be clicking better after this week's practice.

Playing in Louisville the rest of the regular season should bode well for Trinity.

Rocks are at home, had an extra week of prep time with the bye, and are highly motivated to avoid 1-4. We get a nice win and I drive back all 775 miles with a smile on my face.

Despite the score, Cincy St. Xavier completely dominated Cathedral. The Bombers unleashed over 300 yards rushing on Cathedral. Trinity's game plan should be the same.
