Powell's dad told my son it may be ACL....will know more in the morning.

I hope this is not true. Let's hope for the best.

Coming into this season Cooper had 2 big question marks. The QB play and the line play. They lost their 3 year starting QB Tyler Morris to graduation last year and all of their linemen but 1 on both sides of the ball.

I still think they have one of the best line coaches in the area and he has really coached the line up a ton since their first game against Ryle. They have gone up against bigger lines each week and you can see the improvement each week. The other addition this year has been a new QB coach. I've seen Ludwig play since his first year in pee wee and I can honestly say this year is the best year I've ever seen him throw the ball. He is averaging around 200 yards a game and is usually right on target. A lot of that has to go to the QB coach this year, he has been a calming force for Ludwig and it shows on the field, he is very confident and doesn't seem to panic when under pressure and has made some very good tough throws when needed. Tonight the first play of the game threw a perfect strike on a bomb to A. Morgan that went 76 yards for a TD in the pouring rain. The NCC game was the best I seen a QB play all year so far, he was right on target all night long.

The coaching staff for Cooper works their butts off and it shows especially when it comes to what many thought would be the weak part of Coopers team this year. The line has been tested and I think will be ready for district play and the QB has thrown as good as any QB's he has opposed thus far.

Tonight may have been a tough loss, but it can only prepare the team for district play. They could very easily be 4-1 right now, they will be just fine.

Wow. That would be a huge blow to SK. Really hoping that's not the case, will say a prayer for Mr. Powell.

Best of luck to Cooper against Scott.
