FCPS and Lexington Cathoic will play very soon they have all ready in girl sports and that is a fact. Boys basketball plays LCA. I'm in Lexington very often so my opinion holds a little bit of water.

Currently, high school administrators in lexington do not allow Public High Schools to play lexington Catholic in regular season games, there are exceptions when those said games occur in sports where the districts are seeded and by not playing those district games the Public School team would have to forfeit and thus hurt their seeding in the playoffs. This does not matter since Catholic is in 3a and Publics in Lex. are 4a, but this year in basketball, the 43rd district voted for a blind draw, thus eliminating the need to play regular season games.

It's amazing how Lexington Catholic got in this thread. Funny how they were never mentioned by me since this thread is about Dunbar and Montgomery Bell.

I thought the Rocks would be playing MBA as well. Will MBA travel to Lexington and Louisville the same month?

Apparently so. Jeff Rutledge confirmed the Rocks game is still set!

 

Nice of MBA to save Trinity extra travel time by playing in Lexington. Should make scouting fairly simple :thumb:

I agree Dunbar not playing LexCath but playing another private school is an issue for discussion but it needs to be done in another thread. This thread is for PLD/MBA talk.

Maybe on the part of the administration, but by no means should your comment reflect on the kids currently playing in Fayette Co. for public schools, If my team had been given the chance we would have jumped all over it. It is very important to note this decision is not made by the kids and the disagreement is between adults.

I never said otherwise. The adults in Lexington are at fault for this.

I hate that MBA gets a great warmup, before us....
