LCA lead 21-3 at the half (I arrived @ halftime)

 

LCA did not look good in the 2nd half. Penalties & a LOT of plays for minus yardage wiped out most of the drives.

 

Lincoln Co. went up 22-21 with about 7 minutes left. With 27 seconds left, LCA got the ball on their 20, and in 2 plays went down to the Lincoln Co. 3, with 4 seconds left & no timeouts.

 

Lincoln Co. called a timeout, which gave LCA the time to set up for the FG attempt from the left hashmark. Unfortunately, the kick went wide, & Lincoln Co. pulled out the emotional win.

 

For those that haven't heard, Lincoln Co. lost one of their coaches this past week in a motorcycle accident. As bad as we feel about tonight's loss, it's NOTHING compared with theirs. May God be with everyone in the Lincoln Co. football family.

 

:thumb::thumb: Great post Bluto, you are a class act my friemd. There are times when the game itself doesn't matter that much and this was obviously one of them. Lincoln Co. family....my heart and prayers go out to all of you. No comments on the game, good luck to both teams the rest of the way out.

The coach who died was my oldest friend. We grew up as neighbors. LCA showed true sportsmanship tonight and that will never be forgotten by LC fans. It was a wonderful gesture to collect money to send LC players to FCA camp in his name.

So sorry, again, Mr. Network for your loss. Mickey was well-known and highly thought of in Garrard County, just as he was in Lincoln.
