SK shouldn't be in the top 10 (over-rated). Maybe top 25, but not top 10. Replace Pioneers with Henry Clay or Tates Creek.

Guru...looks pretty good! Sad that 7 of the top 10 are Jefferson County Schools. The fact that Lexington 6A has been down for years doesn't help the statewide balance of power for 6A. No Western Ky teams in the top 10 either. Same story every year; the third round victor between X and T will determine the 6A crown.

Amazes me that Lexington football is not better. I've said that for several years. Too much talent in the area not to have a team in the top 10 every year (at the very least). But that's the state of affairs until proven otherwise.

 

Little surprised that no western area team made the list. Henderson County jumps out at me, but I really know very little about their personnel.

Lexington schools will be in the top 10 this year. 2-3 of them will see the top 10 this year IMO...

Hope you're right. The big school playoffs are a lot more fun when Lexington has a couple of good to really good teams.

Hard to argue that over the past 6 years that the following is true-

 

1. Trinity

2. St. Xavier

3. Scott County

4. Simon Kenton

 

SK is gaining on the big boys but is not ready to jump SC yet, last year proved that. However, SK has shown the ability to stay high on this list as time as evolved.

 

For 6A football, everyone is fighting to make the regional championship because the odds of beating a T or X in the championship game is very small.

I wouldn't be surprised to see McCracken County crack the bottom of the top 10 list during the year. I guess we will know more about where they stand after a few early season games against Purchase Area traditional powers (albeit smaller class schools), Tilghman and Mayfield that should be good tests for all those teams, but I believe I saw that they had 3 players on the CJ top 50 list including a highly-rated and experienced QB so sounds like some talent along with an experienced successful coach in Jack Haskins.

I wanted to say the same but since I wrote their preview I was afraid it would make me seem biased and frankly I am only biased about 1 team.
