When you have nothing to say mock. These are legitimate concerns. I'm tired of the argument of the police can do no wrong. I find it sad someone felt the need to mock me and also a former Colonel in the Marines.

And there have been cases like a SWAT team raiding the home of an innocent guy, accusing him of downloading child porn because the guy had an open wireless router or where an animal shelter was rehabilitating an injured baby deer so they responded with surveillance, aerial photos and a SWAT team. How about where a SWAT team raids a house at 6 AM and handcuffs the father of three young kids to execute a Dept. of Education search warrant for his estranged wife's defaulted student loans? Trust me, there's more like these. It's over the top and I'm not sure why it's come to this.
This isn't on the police it is on the prosecutor that got the warrant to arrest someone on defaulted loans. The police were executing an arrest warrant. This could have been a warrant service day the local police were out trying to clean up as many outstanding warrants as possible that morning and this was just one of many warrants that they were serving. If the police responded with overwhelming force it could be because they have a history of violence from that location or someone believed to be in that house.
No knock warrants and Military weapons.

Would you please explain the difference between a "No Knock Warrant" and a Regular Warrant".

You always go back to no knock warrants but I don't think in this case you really know what your talking about and are just repeating talking points that you have read.

Don't forget about the SWAT team who raided the wrong house, shot the dogs and handcuff the children and force them to sit by the corpses of the dogs. St. Paul Cops Shoot Dog in Wrong-Door Raid, Force Handcuffed Kids to Sit Near the Corpse - Hit & Run : Reason.com

I know exactly what I'm talking about thanks.

Weren't you one of the guys concerned as to why the government was buying so much ammo? I may be mistaken, but I thought you were among us.

Yes I do think that the Dept of Homeland Security buying millions and millions of rounds is a bit sketchy, but I think it has more to do with driving the price up and making ammo harder to get than it does arming a domestic army.

But as someone that has been around Law Enforcement off and on my entire life I do support anything and everything that makes the job they do safer and easier.

What freedom is given up by giving the police the same rifle that I have in my closet?

What freedom does better training and tactics for law enforcement take away from me?

If your son or daughter was in Law Enforcement would you not want them to have the best equipment and training possible?

Umm. I don't want local law enforcement to have drones. And I definitely don't want them having any weapons that an ordinary citizen like myself couldn't have.

Ding ding. Another winner.

What weapon do they have that you as a regular citizens can't legally own?

But its not just law enforcement.

Millions and millions of warrants are served each year and guess what mistakes are made...doesn't mean the police were targeting this family for a mistake but that a mistake happened. I would be right there with you if they had intentionally and illegally targeted this family.

But its not just law enforcement.

I agree 100% with you on this, I don't think any group outside of regular law enforcement needs to be armed like that. My defense on this subject is 100% of local law enforcement.
