Hunter Shelton 2014 G Apollo High

Featured Replies

Kid is transferring to a prep school in Pennsylvania. Hate to see him leave the state but good luck to the young man. He played for the KY Jr All-stars this summer.

Thought I heard he was trying to reclassify to 2015 as well? Any one hear that rumor?

he did re class to the 2015, dont know if he will come back to Kentucky as a senior or not. I look for it but that might not be legal either.

Once you complete 8th grade, you have 4 years of eligibility so he couldn't come back to play.

This is a fine young man from a very good and caring family. I'm sure this decision was not reached hastily and I'm just as sure they feel this is the best course for Hunter's future. We wish him all the best.

Will he be able to play the next 2 seasons in PA.?

Yes he re-classified to that class, this happens a lot out of state. Aaron Cosby also did this but he never came back to Kentucky. Depends on school district I have known kids personally leave a school in Kentucky to repeat a grade then come back to the same school because their home school wouldn't let them repeat. They weren't KHSAA age at that time though.
