South Laurel 68 North Laurel 51

Featured Replies

With Ty Proffitt, Walt Allen and Jordan Hammonds all having subpar games, role player David Goodin (!) comes out of nowhere to lead all scorers with 19.

North kept it close early, but a 5-0 spurt just before half gave SL their biggest lead to that point at 13, and the momentum carried over.

The better team won here.

Throughout history, without fail, the better team at that given point in time has always won. :D

But what this really shows is this: South Laurel has too many weapons and plays too good on defense. Period. And that is why they will win the 13th Region.

Even on this occasion, when North didn't play that bad a game, and had things go in their favor with Allen in foul trouble and Proffitt and Hammonds not on their best game, the Cardinals still had a role player come out of nowhere and lead them in scoring, not to mention Trey Smith's 17-point, 6-rebound night.

Sounds like North gave them a good game, but South is just too much for anyone in the 13th this season, including their crosstown rival.

Who was the bald ref? That has to be the worst official in KY.I Tink North and South coaches would be happy to agree....along with anyone who was there.

It is permissable to talk about the officiating of games but please don't post any names of the officials in question.
