But I've heard on more than one occasion that it can be pretty instructive looking at the license plates of vehicles in the parking lot at home football games.

 

Someone that is not from here may think that they have gotten some very bad directions or the gps went out and they were in W.VA. ( lol....you have to laugh, its just crazy)

Heard Fairview may dress 65 to 70 kids this year! Wow!

Can any of the Fairview fans answer any of the questions I have posed? I know many of you are new members, but it seems that some of you drop in and drop a line of information and leave. That is how all the other Kentucky High School sites work, but BGP is more about REAL information.

 

What do you think about the improved schedule? I think upgrading the schedule will help Fairview in the long run with some playoff atmosphere type games with Hazard and possible Bellevue.

 

Feel free to add to it, being an outsider I have to go on what I recall from last year. Tell us more about McPeek and Roark I love linemen getting some credit. Also, I can't wait to hear about this freshman that Talon was talking about.

Ram, I will give you my opinion. I think the improved schedule could help, but having blow outs also builds depth and can boost the overall morale of the team. The backups and third team kids get a chance to play when games are over early. Last season playing against Pikeville and Hazard didn't seem to be an issue. Injuries were few and that can aid in a playoff run. I think the state championship game was allot of early mistakes, more than schedule issues, and a good Mayfield team. I think getting to play in the state championship game last season will help this years team be focused. I still believe that it's going to be either Raceland or Fairview going to state.

 

Mcpeek and Roark are both division 1 talented lineman. I'm biased, but think their both first team all state quality players. They would start on any team in the state.

I agree on the schedule, I like having a few games that you are going to win, and a few games that could go either way. Too much of anything is not a good thing.

WestwoodEagle, I am a fan that has been around for quite a while and I think that you know what I said is dead on.

There is plenty more that I could say but haven't yet because I am pretty sure but just not positive on it. Also, I don't know you so I am not saying that you are but I just am not one of the "good ol' boy" club members that are in that school system. I will say that I certainly don't need or want yours and others advice on what I should or should not say or who I need to say it to. There are others that just as concerned as I am about all of this and are not fans of the "win at all cost" way of thinking that has taken over.

As for me, you and some others no doubt will be glad to know that I may not be posting much more due to the "proper authorities" will be notified, they are just not in the Fairview system.

Nope, not a kid but you respond like this and say that someone else is whining, little kid ? Geez, I think that I just maybe touched a nerve and got too close with the truth, uh?

You will be glad to know that I am about done, have said what was the truth and just wanted others to know (as if they didn't already) that some in this school district believe in our kids, obviously others do not.

BTW Ncstate, after going back and reading your other post/quote of my original post on this subject I must say thank you for this "professional" response. lol.

I know that we all are loyal to our school and give the occasional jab at each other but to speak ill of each other intentionally is not common. You, my friend, are taking it to the extreme! I realize you are unhappy with the climate at your school and the way the program is being run but to get on here and bash it isn't right. When you can get on a site and hide behind a screen name and talk this way about your own isn't right. Heck, it isn't right if it's another school. This is the type of issue that needs to be handled in-house with the school administration and the coaches. Questioning and playing Monday morning quarterback is one thing but speaking this way is not the way to solve your problems. I just wonder if you would be so opinionated if you had to use your real name instead of hiding behind a username and the keyboard? That is why my username is what it is, I do not hide from my identity or my opinion. I hope you get your issue heard and I hope the climate in Westwood improves. I also hope that this message is heard with the correct intent. Doc I usually agree with everything you say but not this time. He has the right to do just what he did because he paid his money to do so. That is what this site is about. It seems that you are trying to run a user away. This is just my opinion.

That wasn't my intent ( to run anyone away). I just hate to see anyone argue with each other (own team). Sorry if I offended anyone.

It is was it is, but unlike the past, they aren't keeping it hush hush, the principal at Fairview is proud of the fact that he is bringing in family after family to see the facilities, and talk about the football program so that they can keep their coffers full, if that's not a slap in the face to the Westwood kids, then I don't know what is. Get on twitter and look up some of Fairview's players, one in particular likes to brag about how he "brung" some of his boys down here to Kentucky so that Fairview can use their talents. I'm sure this will ruffle some feathers or some fur.

The community overwhelmingly supports Fairview, despite what Mad Eagle portrays.
