2016 big man Carson Williams from Owen County received an offer from Northwestern State in Louisiana.

They will keep coming!

I believe he has also received an offer from Samford a couple weeks ago.

As they say, can't coach size and he has plenty of size. I looking forward to watching the young man develop over the next few seasons. I believe the sky's the limit but he has plenty to work on.

Great kid who works hard. Agree, this is the first of many offers to come. Anyone know how his knees are these days? I know he had some issues in his younger days, most I which I believe we're attributed to his growing so fast.

How tall is Carson? 6'5? What are people thinking he will get to?

I believe he is about 6'6 now. His older brother, Sawyer, is 6'8 and still growing from what I've been told.

After seeing Carson play this weekend, and standing next to him, I would have said 6'4.5 or 6'5. I don't think he's quit 6'6". However, he was phenominal in the post. Very strong with and without the ball. He attacks the rim with verocity and works hard to rebound. Has decent jump-shot mechanics as well.

 

Still has plenty of time to grow and get better, and I believe he'll do that. I would like to see his jumper and FTs get more consistent and become a little more comfortable handling the ball on the perimeter as far as attacking off the bounce.

 

This weekend he was primarily a man amongst boys in the paint and was a strong defender. Seems to be a GREAT kid!

Where is Sawyer? Did not see him on Morehead State roster this upcoming season.

He transferred out. Thought I heard Thomas More. Could be mistaken.

Sawyer transferred to Carson Newman. Their sister is a Thomas More grad so maybe that's where that came from and Carson will be back at Owen County.
