Was 1994 Trinity the best Shamrock team ever?

Featured Replies

Being one that is very close to both programs.......I feel that 2011 is better. But let's not forget the two different genres that are involved. We had guys completely in the wrong positions in the first part of the season. I think our team could've been very dynamic with this style of offense. Chris Cash or Nigh at QB....a trio of RB's / Corey Taylor, Phil Edge, Shawn Johnson (Quick level of skill).....Ralston and De Lessio could certainly handle their own receiver wise. our OLine was huge....really huge. Defensively we had a lot of talent, but ran the Split 6 with a Cover 3.....that would be different now as well.

I'll say 2011 would beat us.....but I think it would be much more like a Cincy X game -vs- Rocks, then a high scoring blowout type of game.

I also think we had a much better kicking game (Bironas).....

Players to play D1A or D1AA from 1994:

Corey Taylor-uconn

Brian Hemmerle -northwestern

Shawn Johnson- tenn

Reggie white- Lou

Jimbo Schaffer- wku

Tom Ramey- Morehead

B.j bedo- Morehead

Billy Wright- eku

Rob De Lessio- wku
