All Play No Work Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 NCC pulls it out despite missing unofficially 30 foul shots.
STRIKE3 Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 2 OT game sounds like a good one.How many foul shots did they make, if they missed 30.
All Play No Work Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 15-14 Mayfield after 1 29-27 Mayfield at half 44-38 NCC after 3 52 reg Tie 63 first OT Tie
All Play No Work Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 NCC 7 of 14 from 3 land 20 of 50  from the foul line (started out 1 of 14)
All Play No Work Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 NCC lead by 9 at 48-39 late in the fourth but Mayfield kept putting them at the line, NCC kept missing, and Mayfield buried some threes and twos and foul shots.

I know that Mayfield was forced to foul some, but that is a big difference.

Mayfield should have fouled more. It was the best strategy. Why let a team fire away from the field where they were hitting 56%? They couldn't buy a foul shot at the end of regulation.

Maybe not since there was 2OT's. Oh well, great game and congrats to the cards.
All Play No Work Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 Better make those FT's tomorrow! Might not matter after going double OT tonight using 6 players. NCC might have cost themselves any chance against O'Cath by not closing out Mayfield in Regulation.

But then again, how can you do worse than 20 of 50?
Toothpick Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 I was wanting to see Mayfield get some revenge for the football blowout but NCC seems to be better than us this year in most everything. Guess that is they way it goes until this year the shoe had been on the other foot and I liked it much better that way. Congrats to NCC
