If the ball in pic#2 hasn't hit the glove yet it's a hit.

Pic #1 the ball is already in the glove, pic #2 shows the ball coming OUT. I said to myself as the 3rd baseman was setting up to make the throw (she had a slight "hitch" in her throw), "this is not going to turn out good". The throw as you can see was high and Maria does a nice job of going up for the throw, unfortunately Maria got the ball in the "palm" of the glove and not the "web". Still it was a good effort.

I wonder if it was a change-up... Shelby is typically attacking the ball and her timing is usually her issue, too fast to the ball and this picture is one of those two issues. Entire body timing too... to much to explain. Locked knee is just one of issues in her timing issue. Good stuff. Not 'baiting' the pitcher is an issue and when with us she is reminded what that means and how to execute it. Helps with the jamming issue which can be overcome with the proper technique as many know.

Gotcha. Didn't look close enough. Error.

Clyde, in your defense, if you could have seen the play unfold you would have known in pic #1 the ball was in the glove, I understand why you thought the ball was not in yet. It's hard to tell the ball is in the glove by the picture. However, I was in the bullpen on the 3rd base side with a great view of the play, it was in the glove then "popped out".

BTW Allen, great job with the pictures.
