What does Collins need to do to improve in 2013? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

I know they return a speedy running back who else do they return that will be good? They open the season against Simon Kenton.

Sad lack of response regarding an up and coming program.

To answer the question, Collins returns all but four starters from a state runner up finish last year. They have very good speed at the skill positions and will provide opponents a challenge to keep up with all of the weapons that Collins has to throw at them.

I agree, I have seen quite a few of their players during the camp/combine season and they return an abundance of talent. Collins will be good.

Collins rise as a program is not surprising for those from the area. The split between Shelby Co into two schools sends most of the best players to Collins. People in the area knew Collins would be a top program fast and will more than likely always be around the top programs at that level.

The fast rb is the Farris kid who has an offer from WKU among others. Defense needs to improve some. I'm not sure what overall they need to do get to being in the top 3-5 programs at that level every year.

They return a lot of talent including a very good QB who threw for over 2800 yards and rushed for over 700. They also return all of their WR's from last year and all but 1 RB. They got a transfer from Eastern that is supposed to be a very good RB. Like someone else mentioned their defense does need to get better but they have speed all over the field and will be very good this season. I would expect them to be making another trip to Bowling Green this December.

I'm not sure of all the dates, but here are the teams they are playing this year:

Anderson County

Ballard

Central Hardin

Shelby County

Simon Kenton

South Oldham

Atherton (District)

North Oldham (District)

Spencer County (District)

Waggener (District)

Brought a bunch of kids to the small college prospect camp we held May 22. Almost every kid that came passed the look test--both skill and line guys. And, their kids were respectful and conducted themselves with discipline toward the adults running the camp--you could tell they've been coached to havea healthy respect for the game.

I would expect nothing less from kids playing for Coach Lucas. I played high school football with Jerry at Greenup County for his dad, Coach Roy Lucas, Sr. Jerry's brother Roy Lucas II also commands respect and respectful players. All 3 are class acts and a benefit to KY high school football.

I am excited to be on the sidelines to watch Collins open up the season at home against Simon Kenton since Raceland does not play until Saturday night. It will be interesting watching Coach Jerry Lucas coach against his brother, SK's QB coach, Roy Lucas II.

It should be a great game. I am definitely looking forward to it!

Any word on Creque and how he did at the Nike unlimited camp in SoCal?

I haven't head anything, but just being invited is a huge accomplishment.

I read in today's Sentinel-News that he made the finals of the field goal competition by making a 35, 40, 45, and 50 yard field goal consecutively.
