There's a difference between taking a tax deduction on your 1040 and parking billions of dollars at a postal box in the Cayman Islands to avoid paying taxes to Uncle Sam.

 

What we ought to do with some of these "U.S." companies is load up their file cabinets and office furniture onto a garbage barge, then push said barge in the general direction of the Cayman Islands or Bermuda or wherever.

If you lower the rates corporations will not feel the need to park so many assets overseas. Taxing something at 10% is better than getting zero. We live in global economy is there really is no way to stop companies from parking assets overseas unless we want those companies to quit doing business in this country. Which I doubt it would be a great boost in a still down economy.
