swamprat
Just got home. The Rutgers/USF game didn't start until almost 10:15. USF 5 Rutgers 2 to end the first day. Tomorrow: Seton Hall vs St. Johns at 10 am. Pittsburgh vs Notre Dame at 1 pm. Louisville vs Rutgers at 5 pm. USF vs UConn at 8 pm. Weather is supposed to be better for day 2, so maybe no rain delays, like during the Pitt/St. John's game on day 1.

Getslow
I am thinking Louisville also cost itself a regional to host. I think they'll still host a regional. There are 16 of them. What they just cost themselves is a national seed which would've meant a guaranteed chance to host a super regional if they'd won the region. Now they're staring at a pretty tough road to Omaha. Though if they don't wake up they won't see day three of the tournament. What on Earth happened to this team this weekend? They swept the second-best team in the league just a few days ago... how do you drop back-to-back games to UConn and Rutgers? I did catch a little of the UConn game on the internet... terrible plate discipline. I'm not hugely confident moving forward unless whatever they had going during that 16-game streak suddenly reappears.
swamprat
It's funny that the 7 and 8 seeds already have places in the semi-finals, while the remaining 2 thru 5 seeds are fighting their way out of the loser's bracket.
swamprat
The # 2 and 4 seeds fall. Seton Hall loses to Pitt 7-6 in 12 innings and USF falls to Rutgers 2-1.
