I agree that they can be videoed never said that they couldn't or shouldn't. I was just pointing out why they could get tired of it.

 

That said, which amendment gives the constitutional right to invade others privacy and video them. Now I'm not saying that they can't be videoed, just not sure where it is at in the constitution.

 

So would it be okay if they got tired of getting a warrant to search a house? Would it be okay if they got tired of reading people their rights? Would it be okay if they got tired of satisfying the laws for administering deadly force? They don't get to choose which rights they uphold, at least not so far--give Obama another year and all bets are off--if they they are too tired of scrutiny to fulfill their job requirements then, as Judge Smails said, "Well the world needs ditch diggers..."

 

And as I think you know, not all laws are covered in the constitution. But the Supreme Court has made it very clear that if you perform your job in public, and that you are in that arena that you have no reasonable expectation of privacy. Therefore you can be filmed. It is the same thing as jumping up and taking your shirt off at a UK game. If it ends up on YouTube, well that's on you.

 

I ask you: Have you ever posted a video where someone messed up in public? If so, should you be sued? Keep in mind we can go back and look up your posts? Policeman don't get expanded rights...

1) I never said no one could do it, I was was just stating why they may seem to be upset when people are always pulling out a cell phones to record their every action.

 

2) Not even sure what point you are making in the first paragraph, no where did I state that they should be able to break the law.

 

3) I do know that all laws are not covered by the constitution, I asked that question because someone posted that it was their constitutional right to video police officers...I was just wondering where it was in the constitution.

Then there is no need for additional cops.

I've been pulled over before, never did a cop ever have to call for back up. Those that get arrested where back up has been called are usually the ones not doing what they are told and get their beating because of it.

These cops were too nice to this man.

There are a lot of police officers out there. I'm certain there are more than a few bad ones. And I have never said anything to dispute the fact that anyone can film them.

 

I have seen some of these open carry videos you talk about and the people responsible for making them are idiots most of the time IMO.

 

There is no law against being an idiot .
