May 14, 201313 yr He for sure needs to town it down a little bit, but I love the way he plays the game. Colonels please try and refrain from mentioning Freel in the same conversation as Pete Rose or Bryce Harper.:ohbrother:
May 14, 201313 yr I'm with Spindoc....Don't like the kid. Glad he wasn't seriously hurt, but if he doesn't reel it in a bit his career will not end well IMO.
May 14, 201313 yr He plays like he doesn't care about getting injured. You don't do your team any good on the DL. Just look at Freel...he Charlie Hustled himself right out of Major League Baseball. You can teach a player how to be a little less reckless. You can't teach a guy to get a fire under his rear end. I'll take Harper's over-hustle and reckless abandon every day.
May 23, 201313 yr He short armed one yesterday I think. They were talking about it on PTI, saying because of this incident he was now scared of the wall and that he needed to get over it or it could cause his career to take a strange turn.
May 23, 201313 yr If he doesn't get over it quickly then it will definitely have an impact on his game defensively. Same thing with catches who block the plate and get hurt, they're less likely to do it again which can determine some outcomes of the game.
