Congratulations on winning AAU State Championships:

Girls 11th - Shining Stars Pittman Black

Girls 10th - Focus (Louisville)

Girls 6th - Shining Stars

Girls 5th - Kentucky Royals

Where are the Shining Stars and Lady Royals from? Lady Royals from Mason County probably?

Both are from NKY. Stars based out of Florence and royals based out of Ft Thomas.

Legacy 7th grade won KY AAU D1 state championship in 2012 (6th grade) and 2013 (7th grade). Six of those 11 girls also won it in 2011 (5th grade) with Lady Knights.

Legacy is also from Northern Kentucky. Looks like some really good high school basketball will be coming out of the 9th and 10th regions in a couple of years. Are any of the girls on the team from Ohio or Indiana or are all of the girls from Kentucky? Do we know if any of these girls will actually be going to high school together?

Isn't the Royals coached by Tricia Mackey from Channel 19?

Curious to know who plays on these teams. Does anyone have rosters and what high schools the girls on these teams go to?

Thanks RCC9 and Dogg. These are some names I will look forward to seeing play in high school in the future. I am familiar with some of them. Congrats to all the girls and teams mentioned. Sounds like they are all working hard during the summer. Great job girls!

The Focus 7th grade girls were unable to play in the D1 state tourney because of a conflict, but they did win the D2 State Championship. Very talented group with most of the kids from Louisville. Hopefully we will see a Legacy/Focus match up this year. Lot's of talent at the 7th grade level in Kentucky.
