Nice win for the Lions in a physical and sloppy game. The players from both sides were having problems with the way the game was officiated. Seemed like they would let alot of the rough play go then call touch fouls. Owens ended up with 35 in the game despite sitting for most of the 2nd half with foul trouble.

owens played one of his better games on the offensive side of the ball tonight. He stayed within the flow of the offense and didn't take any wild off the wall shots. He worked for the open shot and took it when he had it. Also, Rowan had no answer for him defensively and couldn't keep him from taking the ball to the hole. Antonio drove the lane at will tonight.

I didn't see the game, but this sounds like more of what Owens needs to be doing. Teamwork will take the Lions far this year!

:thumb: The rest of the team deserves credit too. They didn't panic whenever Owens went out early in the 3rd qtr with 4 fouls. They stayed right in the game until Owens came back and just absolutely turned the game around in boyds favor. He played tonight like everyone has expected him to play all along. This is hopefully a sign of him maturing within the offense.

Final!

Boyd has a good chance to win this region. But after watching last night's game there are still some chemistry and attitude issues. Players were jawing each other, getting techinicals, and not going into huddles. These players need to realize they can win the 16th and pull together as a unit. If not they will be at home after Round 1 with Fairview.

How did Daniel play for Rowan?

Rowan Co. didn't shoot very well it sounded like, nor capitalize when Owens was out of the game. Sounded like Daniel and Martin carried the Vikes and Matt Martin is having a solid year for the Vikings overall.

How did Daniel play for Rowan?

Not very well. He seemed to be forcing his shot instead of taking it in the flow of he offense. Plus Boyd payed aot of attention to him all night and were rushing to guard him every time he touched the ball.
