Lets see... Muslims are allowed to pray in groups. They are allowed to pray aloud. They are afforded their own room to pray in, and the prayer time is during school hours. Not before or after school as is the case with Christians..

I am not entirely sure you are understanding the concept of specific. If you wish to engage in rhetoric then you are as worthless as a Soviet nuclear reactor, I am asking for concrete examples, sources, references, citations if you will. The sort of things your teachers would ask for when trying to write a piece intended to establish a particular position. I am not looking for knee jerk emotion, which is what is being illustrated in the cited post above, I am looking for a rational discussion that does not start out with:

 

"LOOK AT DEM PEPLE PERSUCuTIN US CHRISTIANS!!! ALl we R wantin' 2 do is spred teh gospel and witerness to nonbeleevers! How dere they not let us do whatever we want!"

Schools in the metro area of Nashville.. Tons of schools in Maryland and California are just a few...

I'm with you that highly-publicized court-martials aren't good for morale. But I don't think that's really at the heart of what we're talking about here. Weinstein is a highly-public figure that gets to be the face of this particular thing but the government won't go as far as he wants and the Christian groups that want to preach the gospel to everyone at all times don't get what they want either. The incidents at the root of this aren't very pleasant and, in the case of Weinstein's own experience and the experiences of his sons, tend to be less a case of being exposed to people talking about their religion and more cases of senior officers harassing them about their Judaism.

 

I want a highly effective and unified military. No one should want that military to be one in which asking a soldier what it's like to know that his people killed Christ or to tell him his entire family going to hell is acceptable (happened to one of Weinstein's sons).

 

I can't even believe Obama and Hagel would actually approve him to be a consultant. He has been way to political for the job. Someone who is in obvious opposition to the teaching of the Bible in general should not be consulting on how to make the military more tolerant.

As a teacher, I would take issue with any group of students leaving class on a daily basis.

 

However, the article referenced doesn't say if any other religious group requested a similar daily meeting. Do you have one that shows that a Christian group was denied where a non-Christian group was approved?

 

Students at my school meet for prayer before school every morning and once a month (on class and club day, which I don't have a problem with) during school. To my knowledge, we don't have any Muslim students, but we did several years ago. I don't believe those students requested the same (or any) meeting time before or during school.

Dont have time to find it yet, but do you think the school will let 300 kids or 800 out to pray and set aside a room for them. I betting no.
