I've not read this entire thread so forgive me if this has already been addressed.

 

Why is this such a big deal? There are openly gay women in the WNBA, LPGA, WTA, Elite Level Softball. Does this mean that a mans feelings and rights are more important than a womans?

 

No, it's that nobody cares about those sports. And to some degree, it's even expected, as lesbianism has been an open book in sports since the 70s. Completely different dynamic in the macho male sports world.
