South Laurel looks good in the 13th Region this year. Teams like Corbin, Harlan and Clay County will present a challenge.

You are right. I overlooked Ryle in the latest poll. They are #23, two spots ahead of Cov Cath.

 

 

Ryle has to be favorite in the 9th region thus far.. I wouldn't say cov Cath is..

IMO, if Cov Cath wins the 9th region this year then that would be as big of a shock as when they lost the region during Luke Maile's senior year. I would go with Ryle unless they face NCC in the first two rounds.

Best winning percentage. Unbeaten in the 16th Region. 36 runs allowed in 16 games. I am sure that Greenup, Blazer, and Boyd Co. have played a stronger schedule, and each has a great shot at the title. 16th Region is wide open, and is the only region that does not have a team ranked in the top 25 of the latest KHSBCA coaches poll. I think Lewis is the Favorite in the 16th region and Paintsville or Johnson Central in the 15th region.

Is Newport Central Catholic down this year? They were really good last year. The game with them and Henderson County in the State tournament was really good.
