I saw a segment on situational hitting in baseball these days. It seems about every team sucks at it anymore. I forgot who said it, but he called it the hangover effect from the steroid era. He saidi most players went up to the plate looking for HR, and very few know how to situational hit anymore. The numbers he showed pretty much backed it up.
