She is 13-6 with a 1.88 ERA in 24 games, 20 of which were starts. Sisters Kayla and Courtney Morgan, who are Simon Kenton graduates, are having good seasons at the plate for Pikeville. Kayla, a senior pitcher, is batting a team-high .377 with a team-high four homers, 16 doubles and a team-high 35 RBI. Courtney, a freshman first baseman, is batting .302 with three homers and 26 RBI. In scenic Pikeville now to see UPike upset 16th ranked and msc leader Lindsey Wilson 4-3 as Kayla gets the win and Courtney doubled,singled and scored the go ahead run in the bottom of the sixth. I was fortunate to help coach 2 of them and they've worked very hard . Great to see local girls playing at the next level but better to see them playing as well as they are.
