Should there be someone go out with each group dearing matches. Especially Regional/State Tournaments. To make things more fair and to speed things up. To help keep more legitament scores, help people with finding balls, rulings, etc. I really think they should.

I don't know how they do it now, but in the past in the regionals, usually one of the coaches from the teams who were entered in the tournament were assigned a foursome to go out with, and kept an official score card.

There's little doubt if the players are allowed to keep the scores there's going to be some inaccurate scores turned in. It happens all the time in the afternoon 9 hole matches played during the season.

In my 4 years of playing in the regional tournament in the 10th region, we never had any person assigned to our group. It was all just us. There were often people who came with our group (parents, coaches, etc.) but none of those were ever assigned. I know one year during region our coach went to play golf at another course. I do not believe that they have started doing that recently either. It is a very good idea, however.

Our team used to be in the 11th region before joining the 10th 3 years ago, and I know at least once anyway that coaches were assigned to keep a card, and the players also kept cards. Coaches, of course, didn't go out with their own kids.

I look for CCH to have a pretty good golfer in Myles Mahan. He might make some noise down at state. Definetly the top in NKY next year.
