That is a valid point.

I do not care if Cooper has Verlander on the mound, if they do not play better defense, they will not get out of the 33rd.

I will take Verlander and very little defense :D.. When Cooper's starters are in their place they play fairly solid defense. They just seem to have that one game here and there where they all stink at once but then they will go 3-4 games with hardly any errors. The coaches have been getting everyone playing time as several are new to Varsity and they have to see what they have.

Since "TRUTHBTOLD" likes your comment, I would like to see what he/she's got.

It's hard to narrow it down to 5 in 9th region because there are a lot of good pitchers in region. I don't like talking about who's the best in this and that when it comes to kids. Some of these pitchers you are talking about have good stats because they have have good team defense and their team provides run support which dictates their wins and era. Also, I tend to look at the teams pitchers have thrown against.

I think we're getting off topic here. Let's just put our opinion on who are the top 5 pitchers in the region.

Dunn

Kuebbing

Maines

Bartels

Cain

Have to have Jason Suchanek in this list. He is 3-1, his only loss coming to NCC 2-1. He has beaten Highlands, Campbell County and Holy Cross. He also pitches under big prrssure, BWs lineup ia not deep and does not score many runs.

I'm fine with guys getting on here and braging on "their kids". Just at some point they have to back it up on the field. If you are a number 1 ace, then you will carry your team to the region, regardless of what district you are in. He gets a lot of praise on here, and now time to back it up. Sorry if it is salty to you, but it is the truth.

1) My Son

2) That kid from SH that throws 95

3) That Lefty

4) The tall skinny kid

5) Dunn

I think the top 5, or at least the perception of the top 5, is going to be consistent on this board, and theyve already been mentioned here. Maybe a different thread, but how about the next 5, the 6-10? I have only been to a couple games, only to watch the Midland kids at Beechwood, so I cannot even begin to make that list.

One that has been very good but unfortunatley has been marred by a lot of errors behind him has been J Lawhorn for Cooper. 4 quality starts so far and hasn't given up a lot of hits or earned runs in any of them.
