Jay-Z selling share of Nets

Jay-Z selling shares of Nets, getting into player agent business | ProBasketballTalk

Jay-Z would not be the guy handling the contract negotiations or day-to-day of the agency, that falls to the CAA agents. However, what he brings in terms of marketing connections is impressive. Plus he’d be a recruiting force in an already cutthroat business.

Jay-Z owns less than one percent of the now Brooklyn Nets. However, he had great influence in the color scheme and uniform design for the Nets — back and silver with an old-school classic logo — as well as designing some high-end luxury suites at the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn.

He’s supposed to have a buyer and process in place so his agency can go after players in this year’s NBA Draft.

He owned less than 1% of the Nets. Estimated worth around $350K. They sure played that out well though.

I meant to post this earlier and got busy. Jay-Z is the most popular and most talked about 1/15th NBA owner ever. Now that he's learned how the owners operate he's going to get the players money. That's awesome. He is and always will be a hustler. As a Jay-Z fan since Reasonable Doubt this makes me like him even more. There has never been a more true rapper than Jay-Z.

It's the ROC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

^ He won't be negotiating any part of the contract. From what I read he will pretty much being doing marketing/recruiting.

Yeah me and PP92 had a good go around about that one day. That's what we were talking about, they sure got their 350K worth.

Or Illuminati? :lol2:

$350k is a night out for HOVA.

I bet a ton of players will flock to him.

Unfortunately, this should pretty much end his "affiliation" with Kentucky.

Or Illuminati? :lol2:

I'd love to start a thread about that but most likely would have no idea what we are talking about and it'd be just us two discussing it.

I'd heard this before, but how many people exactly believe this?

Hey I'm not going to lie, I used to laugh it off too. I mean a rapper supposed to be in some highly secret occult society, a rapper are you kidding me? I never even gave the notion a time of day. I have always rolled with the Jigga Man, and always will. BUT, I have stumbled across some stuff lately that makes me go, hmmmmmm. I've saw pictures where he is wearing Crowley shirts, shirts with satanic imagery (Kanye too), satanic imagery on jewerly, all kinds of stuff that makes me say well wait a minute. Either he is playing with the notion, or something may be smoking there. I mean if you think about it, a povern stricken youth growing up in Brookyln who starts selling rocks just to get by. Then, same kid who grows up in poverty turns out to be a uber wealthy billionaire. You just don't see many success stories like Jay-Z's, I mean think about all the connections and business' he has under his control. He has basically built a powerful empire from nothing, he went from nothing to being a predominant figure and likely most predominant figure not only in hip hop, but in the world. Did it just happen from hard work, talent, and a gifted business mind, or is something else going on that paved the way for his high level of success?

I mean I wouldn't say that he is part of a so called Illuminati, even if there was such a thing. BUT, would not be surprised in the least if he was a part of some secret fraternity. I mean theres just way too many ritualistic influences in a lot of the stuff he does for him not to be. Either the guy was just super into Aliester Crowley and the occult and took a lot of it to heart, or theres something a little more going on. Always fun to speculate and think what if.

Great business mind is all. He loves playing with people's heads also. Last I heard the Illuminati didn't like black people let alone allow the to join their society. If there even is an Illuminati. I just have a really hard time believing it. From the day he made Reasonable Doubt he has always seemed to be on a whole other level compared to all other rappers IMO. Straight hustler who just so happens to rap.

I'd heard this before, but how many people exactly believe this?

I have friends from college who refuse to listen to his music anymore. Threw away CDs and everything. There are a bunch of folks who believe it.
