Sounds like Thacker's pitching is on but it sounds like the hitting for Walton is off. Hopefully that can get better.

Pitching might be ok but if you don't have any offense you are beating a :deadhorse:

Senior right-hander Erica Lang improved to 4-0 and struck out 11 as Simon Kenton beat Walton-Verona despite being held to one hit, 3-1 on Thursday.

 

Eighth-grade first baseman Kennedy Baugh smacked a solo homer over the left center field fence to extend the Pioneers’ lead to two. It was Baugh’s third home run of the season and broke up the no-hitter.

 

Simon Kenton scored its first run on a throwing error and went ahead, 2-1 on a pair of passed balls.

I think Erica is going to have a huge year at the plate and in the circle. She's off to a great start.

Erica only pitched one inning vs Holy Cross but I was impressed, she seemed to have above avg speed and her ball was moving. She has SK off to a strong start.

 

The term "great kid" gets thrown around a lot but Erica is truly that.

Hopefully the softball gods can move the predicted weather elsewhere so NewCath and SK can get their game in on Monday.

Bad things happen when NCC is scheduled to play. Can you guys just cancel the rest of your season so the rest of can get our games in!!
