My wife and I are going to Vegas in May for our 10 year wedding anniversary. Thinking about staying at Plant Hollywood, anyone stayed there before?

Yep. Not a bad place. Pool area is on the third floor. location is kinda in the middle of the strip, great if you like to walk to other hotels. Decent resturants. Only downside if your wife is like TAC's --there is a huge mall attached to the hotel!!!

It's better if he lets his wife go to that mall than to the Forums at Caesars where the cheapest thing you will find there is something for $1,000 :sssh:

I love Vegas. If you want a day away from the strip they have some nice bus tours to Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon. the bus will pick you up at your hotel, feed you lunch and dinner and drop you off at your hotel at the end of the day. Wife took one with a friend while I gambled all day, she loved it.

There used to be air and land tours of the canyon as well. Like above they pick up you up at the hotel. You fly out to Grand Canyon National Park in a large Cessna.

Stratosphere offers unique views of the strip. Have not done the new rides that are up there but the Big Shot is a cool thrill ride. Nothing really like it.

Have fun.

Don't have to worry to much about the shopping. We're just trying to find a nice place on the strip that isn't too expensive. I've stayed at the Rio before and it was nice but want to be on the strip. Also stayed at IP before, cheap but it's a dump.

I travel a lot and stay in Hiltons and Marriotts, etc. This place is fine and the location is great.

If you gamble a lot make sure you get a host/hostess. Mine was Lorna Brown. She was very nice and took good care of me.

Paris used to fit that bill. Regular rooms were like regular hotel rooms but with upgrading like lots of marble in the bath. Location is great and should be about half the price of the Bellagio across the street.

I love PH. Can't go wrong there

One of the few places in Vegas I have not been to much and I don't really know why. I have not heard anything bad about it and according to the stuff I have read it is comparable to above average Harrah's locations. The reality show about the pool looks fun.

What did they get you for the room, if you don't mind?

Your wife will love it.

I got one of the fountain view rooms. For the 3 nights the total was $888. I looked around on the internet for deals and the best I could find was on kayak or some site like that. It would have saved me $80 but I couldn't make any requests like non smoking or king bed. It was worth the $80 to not end up in a smoking room. Their regular rooms were $550ish for the 3 nights before the taxes. Figured we would splurge a little and get a view room.

You need to gamble more on players card to get a better deal than that!
