Having made the world safe from nuclear destruction during his hugely successful diplomatic trip to the DPRK, Dennis Rodman is apparently ready to rescue the eternal Church of Rome from the malaise it currently suffers from in its traditional strongholds.

That's funny, but apparently he did actually say the following: "I want to be anywhere in the world that I'm needed." Dennis, I have to be honest, I'm not entirely sure where that would be.

33 months; convened in November 1268 and finally elected Pope Gregory X in September 1271.

No, and it was in the years after that the rules for the conclave were finally codified, though not without difficulty. It took a long time to finally force the Cardinals to be locked away until they made a decision. Without the conclave, who knows how long this could drag out, especially in the far more politically-charged days before Westphalia, and at least up through the days before the demise of the Papal States.

My guess is he is keeping his name in the press until he gets picked up for a reality TV series. I just wish it were somewhere else.
