Not questioning you - I'm sure you're right, but this seems crazy to me. A strike - absolutely. Two strikes on one pitch? Silly.

You aren't the only one. I don't even like the if they step out it is a strike regardless of the location.

A point of emphasis this year is keeping the batter with one foot in the box between pitches when there was no play or swing on the previous pitch.

Another POE is the pitcher's feet when he is in the windup position. His non-pivot foot cannot be outside the boundaries of the rubber.

Man on first. Pitcher doesn't come set and delivers the pitch, batter hits a HR. What do you have?

Umpire calls the balk btw. Left that out

Assuming FED rules R1 goes to 2nd base. Batter remains in the box with the same count.

Balk is an immediate dead ball. Runner now on second.

Yes. High School is a big screw you to the batter. Everywhere else in the world you have a homerun.

I can't think of one instance where I saw a balk that ended up resulting in a hit in the Majors.

I watched it happen in college twice in one inning last season

It should be interesting to see how consistent this is enforced.

I'm sure they will enforce it, although I've never seen this called ever in my life at any level. Not sure why this is such a big issue that it needs to be policed.

Neither can I
