With the "crappy" weather we have had so far this year, how many times has your team been outside to practice on the FEILD???

 

We at NewCath have been on the field NOT ONCE!!! :banghead:

 

We have had practice in one of our "jr high feeder schools" gym, it's plenty big enough to do infield and the ceiling is quite high, but cannot do anything outfield wise. We have done alot of tee work and are able to hit off the juggs machine, but nothing can compare to being out on the field doing this. We have been outside (3 times) in the parking lot taking fly balls, but not enough room to do much else, as far as, going through a true outfield practice.

 

Last year at this time we were already outside numerous times and already had a scrimmage under our belt. Can't wait for this weather to break and get on the field.

 

So, what about your team??

Boone got outside today some but the field was still too wet to take infield.

My guess is teams like NDA, HHS, Ryle and those that have turf (CovCath had a inter squad game on their turf today) have had many, many practices and indeed it is a huge advantage to those teams!

I know SK , Dixie and Scott have all been out alot. But , Hey don't mind us Kenton Co. Schools. We're all bad !:lol2:

I know my daughter played at Midwest today. We got to watch practice today. Nice little squad you have.

I loved the Bulldog and hate to see it go, but since you replaced it with a kid I guess it looks good!

Holy Cross has practiced a couple times outside on concrete, beats the gym I guess. No dirt or turf yet for them.

Add Beechwood to this list. They also had a baseball scrimmage yesterday. Turf fields make a big difference on this.

Gee guys I could have posted LexCath, MoCo, JC and on and on and on and on but I tought most would get my understanding that those with turf as VOR stated "Turf fields make a big difference on this".

I kinda hope not, I wouldn't want to play my home games there all year but playing once a year is fun and a nice change of pace.
