I predict a Cooper/Holmes first round match-up. Just like last year when Dixie was upset in their district final and they were the #1 team and Cooper drew them as well. Hope the result is the same if this happens.

Really enjoyed the game tonight--Congratulations Jags! Although I'm still puzzled to Mullins's strategies, I wish both teams luck in the tournament.

This was a very good game.

 

Ryle started off hot and jumped out to a 22-15 lead and Cooper came storming back behind the hot shooting of Collins and McNeil and the strong play down low by Maniacci.

 

Speaking of Maniacci, if he plays like he did tonight in the region tourney, Cooper just might cut the nets down. Dude was an animal at both ends and had two nice dunks. One a one hand jam off the dribble and another on a break away with two hands as he tried to tear the rim down.

 

Love the swag of this Cooper team and the way they play. Their half court defense is as good as I've seen this year.

 

Big Lou was our player of the game afterwards...his comment to me in the post game interview when I asked what they need to do to cut the nets down next Sunday?

 

"If we play defense like we have, we are gonna be pretty damn good and tough to beat."

 

Well said, big guy. Well said.

Congrats to coach Sully and the Jags. This was a big win and like always a great team effort. They just let the game flow and you never know who is going to be the one to light it up. Sometimes it can even be a player off the bench. Every player on that bench is just as important as the starters. They should be a tough out and wouldn't want to play them in the regions.

Great game by both sides tonight. Cooper fans showed up- 2 to 1 Cooper over Ryle IMO. See you all at the BOK next week.
