All I know is that in NKY I would take Greis at 1st base over anyone!!!

She just keeps hitting (not BGH pencils hits because I saw every game last year)and driving in runs and never misses a ball at 1st (0 fielding errors in 35 games). Also she saved a ton of errors last year by scooping bad threws from a very young left side of the infield. You can say what you want about BHG but don't take away from a young lady that any coach would love to have on his team because of what she does on the field, at the plate, and in the dugout with the younger players. She has been a 2 year captain in softball, soccer and basketball while playing on some very good teams. Don't discount what she has done because you don't like the BGH or the way he reports. she earned EVERYTHING she has gotten!!!

It is a fact that BGH inflates stats, I have seen it and just about everyone else in NKY has as well so instead of helping his kids he actully hurts them. This young lady stats may be accurate and if you say they are you wouldn't have any arguement from me. Do doubt, the bolded is spot on.

 

However, I would like to add that I too think the Greis girl is an excellent first baseman. She is great defensively and a very good hitter. Definitely one of the top, if not, the best first baseman in NKY, IMO.

It is really cool that BBHS has a place you can check on stats. I am not sure HC even kept a book and did stats last year much less had them available to look up.
