Holmes should be higher on the list there a solid team and will be on a nice run at rupp

Higher than NCC who just beat them?

Trinity's numbers look very tough. Points allowed are impressive.

Shakes out to 47 points allowed per game. I believe Trinity's only given up more than 60 four times all season and won three of those games. Szabo focuses first on the defensive side of the game and it's absolutely humming again this year.

I feel like Central is way too high. Everything else looks very reasonable to me, but I just can't get behind a team that doesn't have a notable win since Dec. 4, and has losses to Oldham Co., North Hardin and Moore. None are bad teams, but also they aren't really close to being ranked either. I understand an 1 point loss to Ballard shows they might be able to play with anyone, but I don't think 1 "good" loss deserves a top 10 ranking.

I will admit, I haven't seen Central play, so they might look a lot better than their results indicate, but from their scores they are at best a 15-20 team, and I don't have them in my top 25.

They did lose to Moore but they also beat Moore just a few weeks before that. Their scheduling has really been what hasn't allowed them a quality win in that time span as the only teams in the current top 20 they've played since the first of the year are Trinity and Ballard, the latter of which they lost to by just a point on a late shot. They've got some serious talent.

In this top 20, 4 are automatically eliminated because they 5 of them are in the 7th. 2 are automatically eliminated because three are in the 6th and so on. Essentially half of the top 20 can't possibly make it to the big show.

Your number 5 ranked team is your state champion.....
I hope you're right !!:D

Perry Central is a top 20 team imo. They lost a few games early before Justin Johnson became eligible (and lost the first one after he was ruled eligible in a Lexington tournament) but lately they have been playing very good basketball. I think they're definitely the best team in the 14th region, and probably the best in eastern Kentucky.
