OpieTaylor Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Has been a lot of discussion on how boys side could shake out. Any thoughts on girls?
OpieTaylor Posted February 8, 2013 Author Posted February 8, 2013 What? No thoughts, opinions, predictions. I know better than that. Don't be bashful!
Funny Doo Doo Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 I would have said Mason Co. before tonight. After playing some good teams tough, they lose to a disappointing Bourbon Co. team. If Mason can learn to consistently win close games they could make a run at a regional title.
mcpapa Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 I make Bracken County a slight favorite over Mason County. On paper they should advance to the district final.
kentucky*orbit Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 Assuming Mason and Bracken advance, it will come down to the wire and whoever cashes in from the FT line will be victorious!
Randy Parker Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 I've been terrible at predicting how the 39th turns out with girls. 2009-10 I thought Bracken would win, since it was in Brooksville. Mason County won. 2010-11 I thought Mason County would win since it was at the Fieldhouse (and Mason had beaten Bracken earlier in the year by a somewhat comfortable margin). Bracken won. Last year I thought Bracken County would win, but I never thought it would be as close as it was. Bracken won a nail-biter. I think Mason County is playing the best ball, even including the Bourbon County game. The Lady Colonels are good, even though they have under-performed. Being at the Fieldhouse, the advantage rests with Mason County IMO.
kentucky*orbit Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 Kelsch will have his troops ready... Already beat them at the Fieldhouse this year.. Has to be huge confidence factor for the Lady Bears as next week's District approaches us!

I also think that earlier season victory will be a good motivational tool for a very good Lady Royals team. However it plays out, these two squads have had some memorable post-season contests in the last few years.
OpieTaylor Posted February 12, 2013 Author Posted February 12, 2013 Based on how both teams have played as of late, I would give the very slight edge to MC, BUT this group of Lady Bears always seems to rise to the occasion. Should be a dandy!
