What About Augusta High School?

Featured Replies

Patrick Kelsch is the best player to come out of A-Town without a doubt.

 that really isnt saying much... no offense but I played against PKelsch, although a tough player and great shooter.... if that is the best to ever come out of A-town..... I wanna be PKelsch.....

I agree. Patrick Kelsch wasnt the best player to come out of Augusta, but Id say he was one of the best the school has seen. His dad, Bill was the best shooter, but Id say Brian Kirk was the best all around player to grace the Augusta gymnasium.

What kind of season are the Cats going to have next year? Do they have any chance of being the top 5 or 6? :fight:

Pendleton JV? You do know this is an Augusta Thread right?

Another great player from Augusta in the 70s what Mike Bach. He was a great ball player and finished 2nd in voting to Bill Kelsch in a survey done a long time ago. The finest player to wear the Orange and Black. Kelsch finished 1 and Bach 2... 2 darn good ball players right there.

I think the question was about the present Augusta season and what about the rest of the season.

I have been to all the Home games this year and most of the away games. They have looked really good at times. Just run out of gas at the end sometimes. They have played a few really close games. I can think of five games more they could have won.

A far as the rest of the season I can see them winning six of last eight games. As long as everyone stays healthy and keeps ther heads up. Injuries have hurt them at times.

I read last year about the eighth graders coming this year and how they could help out. Except for the last game at Bracken I have not seen very much play out of them. Chris Mofford came off the bench and started blocking shots and pulling down rebounds on both ends. He really helped get them back into the game. The JV team has been doing really well as of late. Ty Krebs and Jo Jo Gray (two other freshman) have played very well on JV also. They have not had much time on varsity but both can play inside and deserve to get some playing time. I think they could have helped make a differnece earlier this season if they were givin the chance.
