The Breds win their 7th in a row and 10th in the last 13 years, since 2001 only Holy Cross in 04, 05, & 06 as won the regional title.

Both teams had trouble getting into the flow of things in the 1st half, and the 3rd quarter was not much better. This was not because of a lack of effort by both teams. I think the floor conditions tonight played somewhat of a role, because they were constantly wiping it down, to be honest I have no idea how they stayed on their feet, it was a mess.

At the start of the 4th quarter the Breds found their rhythm and score the 1st 12 points of the quarter. Michaela Ware goes for 4 and 8 by Nikki Kiernan (including 2 treys), at this point Kiernan has more pts. (22) then St. Henry (21). Now it is a 19 point advantage Breds and shortly there after the bench's empty and the Breds celebrate. St. Henry gave a great effort for 3 quarters, but it was not to be.

Congrats to the Newport Catholics. :thumb:

Congrats to Coach Stoll and his team. I know some people doubted him because of how young he is and how he had to follow in the footsteps of a great coach and it seems he has kept NewCath in their winning ways. Keep it up!
